Article Marketing - Article Summaries

Without doubt the most important part of any article submission is the summary. The summary is the catch lead for the main story content. It's also the very first thing a reader reads. To write an interesting summary is to capture your reader within the first few seconds, stimulating them to read the rest of your article.

Too many times we find article summaries are just copy & paste of the first 2 paragraphs of the main content. This is NOT the way to go.

Your article summary is the grabber for people to continue reading, so if you just repeat the main body content in the summary, your virtually limiting the exposure of your article. Here's why.

A summary should be written as if it's a short ad for the rest of your article content. By this we don't mean, BIG PRINT WITH EXTRAVAGANT CLAIMS. More accurately your summary would may ask questions, of course related to the main content topic, and also supply some type of answer.

Another technique for catchy summaries is to try the anti-ad type short scope. Trying different types of summaries for the one article is recommended. Especially if your article is being submitted to many many different article directories. The nest way to grab attention is to say something straight, concise and relevant to the main content.

Consider these stats. A person searching for topics they want spends .5 to 2 seconds scanning the summary. If your summary doesn't catch them within that time frame, your out of the game.

So to summarize this summary technique, let me put it this way.

Do you want to get readers reading your article? Of course not. So read on and find your edge.

See what I mean?

Enjoy.

Article Marketing: An Easy Way To Promote Yourself!

By: Rob Metras

There are myriad ways to promote your website (and yourself) on the Internet. You can easily do this with article marketing. You run a website; obviously, you have knowledge that you can share with others. There's no better way to do this than with article marketing!

Many people search online articles for information on so many subjects, running the gamut from how to cure a colicky baby to how to plan for retirement. We all have expertise in certain areas; you can share your experience or passions with others through the Internet.

Numerous articles can be written on your subject. You can begin with a general overview, telling what you know about your subject and your experience with the material you are offering. This will show your readers how knowledgeable you are. Then, add more articles, going more in-depth with your subject matter. Let people know that you have something interesting to share. This will make them want to go to your website and buy what you are selling.

There are numerous free sites to submit articles for online publication for free. This means you have an easy no-cost way to promote your site and your product, and it costs nothing! Google arcticle marketing, and you'll find LOTS of sites to register for free and enter in your articles! The more times you submit articles, the faster you'll become an expert author.

It's natural to be a little fearful of attempting to write, especially if you've been out of school for a while. Relax and write what comes naturally to you; pretend that you're telling your best friend about your subject in person. Use the word program on your computer so you can edit your article. When you're finished, read it out loud to yourself to check for mistakes and to make sure that it flows like you want.

One caveat: don't give away too much information. You want people to go to your site and buy what you're selling and to need your expertise. Save the best information for your site. Lead your readers to your site by making them want more of what you have to offer.

Submit as many articles as you want, to as many sites as you want! It takes little time and won't cost you a cent to give article marketing a try! One way to get a good flow is to write a number of articles and submit them as a series.

Article Submission - Article Cred

So you've written a great article, lots of excellent content and relevant points. Juicy content flowing out of your mind to your fingers and into the article. Your probably going to get read and noticed by everyone All great stuff.

And then what happens? Yes that's right .. you decide to name yourself an email address. Probably think this will gain instant recognition and email flooding through asking for more.

Nope, this is not going to happen. One bug bear of us Article Directory admin people is the constant assumption that naming yourself an email address (as in Author's name = someone@something.com) is going to get you noticed. Well it will, but for all the wrong reasons.

The delete button is a favourite with these types of authors. Your article will not be published. In fact most likely, your email address handle will be tagged as "banned" instead of the brilliant exposure your seeking.

Credibility is everything when writing articles. I mean lets face it. If your reading an article written by John Smith you'll take notice of anything that's relevant to yourself within the article, because the writer "talks" to you and his or her name sounds real.

By having an email address as an author you are saying, quite obviously, Hi, I have no name, I'm just an email address.

Come on, I mean, if you can't sign your article as a persevered real person, then how do you expect to attract real people wanting your words.

If you write articles wanting to be read and accepted by publishers then be good enough to sign your work with real names, not questionable marketing tactics that get you deleted or worse, banned.

Why Most Articles Are Not Accepted

There are thousands of articles being submitted to article directories every hour, of every day. The effectiveness of your article being accepted will depend solely on just a few reasons, which I will explain here.

Article Title:
Use the KISS (K.I.S.S = Keep It Simple Stupid) method for any article title. Having an article title that delivers advertising headlines is a sure way to not get accepted, as in a title like "Amazing Software Service For Bargain Prices" will find the junk heap fast. Your title is the window to your readers and will determine whether your reader continues reading or clicks away.

Make your titles accurate to the content of your article. If your article is about software services then try and keep the title specific to that subject, like for instance a title that intrigues the reader. Example: Why Software Services Gain Respect would be a clear indicator that the article warrants a read.

Always make your titles concise, relatively short and try and use a question or reason type title to intrigue your readers.

Authors Name:
One of the most simple areas of article writing seems to be one of the most difficult areas for writers to deal with. For reasons unknown, a lot of writers want or think that if they write about web site design then their author names should be the same or related to the subject line. We've had many a writer's submission be deleted straight away, as soon as they have submitted it because of their authors name.

In this case the authors name was, get this, Mr Website Design. Now really, I mean, did this persons parents decide at a very early point in time that their child's first name should be Website. Were they following the celebrity nuance of naming their child a ridiculous name so they are noticed by others, or for that matter, ridiculed, bullied, targeted by others because of their name.

Come on, if you have a name, use it as the author. Your name is your ticket to life. If you don't want to use your real name then use a ghost name, but use a name that might actually sound real, or base your ghost writers name on your real name.

Your name when writing is a direct window into who you are, your credibility, your worth so don't, and I mean don't submit articles written by Mr SomeoneWhosNameIsA TotalPeiceOfCrap, really.

Article Length:
Every article that we delete has the same non-qualities, time after time. And this particular issues is right at the top of our list. The article length. Would believe some writers actually think their article will be accepted although it's just 120 words in length, that includes the title and summary. This isn't an article, it's an ad. It's a note to oneself. It's a joke, really.

Any article worth it's salt will have a length of at least 400 words or more. Now there's an article, not an ad, note or summary. If you are a writer with some knowledge or experience in something or another you will write about it, thoroughly, not just throw a few choice words together and hope you have a chance of gaining readers respect or even attention.

Research if you have to, but give your article a reason to be accepted and always write 400-2000 words of real, practical terminologies that readers will understand and relate to. If not, your destined for the deleted scrap heap, which contains thousands of miss-guided, self supporting fools that will not ever see the light of article marketing daylight.

The Power of Article Submission Directories

By Article Finder.

Are you looking for ways of boosting traffic to your online business? If so, then you should consider options to submit articles to directories. Okay, you might ask how to submit articles and increase traffic, which we will show you the ways in which this quick and easy strategy works.

There are many article submission software options if you prefer not to do the work manually. In this case, the software does the majority of the work, sending the articles to directories so you can enjoy more traffic to your site. This particular tool is so beneficial that article submission is now being called the most effective option.

The great thing when it comes time to submit articles is that online businesses of every size and industry can do it. Literally, a start-up company selling jarred pickles to a large corporation selling stock market commodities can benefit. The size and type have nothing to do with article submission just the content of the article and the directory to where it is being submitted.

To help more people know about the product or service you sell, you can submit an article and watch your business grow. Then, with there being so many great submission directories, you have lots of opportunities. Using submission software, the process is quick and easy without the need to spend a lot of money or have tons of experience.

In fact, article submission software offers a long list of excellent benefits. For one thing, this gives your website a name and face, meaning you have the opportunity to build credibility. That means that no matter the area of expertise, people will learn what you have to offer.

Another benefit associated with article submission software is again seeing the number of customers grow, which means greater sales. In fact, the speed in which traffic grows is phenomenal. While there are some directories that take a little time to get results, many will get traffic moving extremely fast.

Using article submission software makes your online company more visible to the various search engines. Because of this, as people do searches for the very product or service you offer, you will come up in the results faster. Keep in mind that reaching this rating takes time but it is certainly possible.

Probably the greatest challenge when it comes to how to submit articles is that each directory works slightly different. Some are extremely easy and fast while others require special formatting. It usually takes time and effort to get articles out to all the different directories but, article submission software can make the process much easier by preparing the article according to the directory's interface.

Companies spend a tremendous amount of money on marketing. Unfortunately for many, if they would only submit an article or several, they could get even better results while saving a ton of money. Therefore, when you get ready for your next marketing campaign, consider the benefits of article submission.

If you go with the software option, you will find this is very inexpensive. The process is also extremely easy and it takes very little time. Once the article has been submitted, you need to get ready because the level of traffic is going to change and for the positive.

Without doubt, article submission is a great way to increase business for your website. Because the solution is an all-around option that works, you cannot beat this strategy. This means you no longer have to sit around waiting for something to happen, choosing good articles and article submission software to get things moving.

Article Marketing - Good Ways To Boost Your Campaign

Written by Dave Krost

What they say is true: it doesn't take a genius to advance with article marketing. All you'll ever need are determination, perseverance, and these 6 authentic methods and you'll surely stay on top of the game.

Kick-start your articles with interesting titles. This is the first step to ensure that you will generate the right kind of attention online. If you want online users to open and read your articles, you must use attention-grabbing and striking titles. They must be able to tell your potential readers what the whole articles are all about and why these people should invest their time reading your content.

Know where to get brilliant topic ideas. When you sink your teeth into article marketing, you need to understand that you need to produce more articles (at least 70 per week) so you can easily make serious noise online. Thus, you will need numerous topics to write about.

You must write about topics that are closely related to your chosen niche, line of business, and products and services. You may also write about the pressing issues and questions of your target audience so you can give them the kind of information they need.

Create a great impression through your first paragraph. As online users have limited attention span, they easily get bored when they don't find anything valuable in the first 100 words of the articles. As a result, they close the article and move to the next one that can hold their attention.

Don't sacrifice the quality of your articles. The quality of your articles is still the most important factor in article marketing so you better not sacrifice it when you are trying to augment the number of your copies.

Make your articles content-rich. By this, I simply mean strive to offer your readers with complete, detailed, and in-depth information about your topic. This is not only to let your readers know that you are really knowledgeable on your chosen niche but also to prevent them from checking other articles that might lead them to your competitors' website.

Hire some help. Writing 10 articles per day and distributing them to hundreds of publishing sites can take its toll on you. That is why, it will surely not hurt if you can hire somebody who can help you make this task a lot manageable for you. If you would like to focus on writing your articles, you may hire an article poster who can distribute your articles for a small fee.

Article Marketing - Free Download To Your Success

I have to admit that over the years I have spent money on article marketing when I should have kept the dollars and thrown it at a sea crab for as much good it did me in the article marketing field. We all make mistakes, we are human after all which is a mistake pre-requisite.

One reason I did throw my hard earned away was because I didn't know enough about the subject of article marketing. Like so many others I though paying someone to ghost write and article for me or paying for a company to submit my articles was the standard practice of article marketing. Well in a way it was the standard practice in general. Although, these days it's easy to find free info related to article marketing and for some of us, it's very free.

What I mean by this is, very free means that the info you receive is of such high quality you think there is either a catch involved somewhere or that you'll probably receive an invoice some time down the track for the info you have just gotten for free.

Paranoid? Maybe. Realistic? Yes.

Here's the thing, I did download an article marketing eBook from Article Marketer, for free as usual and found that this information was and is priceless. The eBook is called "The 4 Ridiculously Simple Keys to Online Success" or "A Step By Step Guide to Article Marketing" , Corny?, maybe, Factual? Yes absolutely brilliant.

I'm so impressed by this brilliant, easy to understand article marketing eBook I've decided to share this with as many article marketing people as I can, because I know article marketers everywhere will gain insight and some practical step by step advice to increase their article marketing experience.

I did ask Article Marketer if I could supply my colleagues with their eBook and to my surprise they said yes. Thanks Article Marketer, you guys rock.

So, to download your own "The 4 Ridiculously Simple Keys to Online Success" or "A Step By Step Guide to Article Marketing" (same eBook) and get some great advice and step by step instructions on winning the article marketing game, click here.

Article Submission - How To Hyperlink Your Article

You've written your article, checked the title, placed the keywords and phrases into the text strategically and now’s the time to submit it. But wait, what about the hyperlinks? Oh yeah, article directories don't take hyperlinks, or do they?

Well that's a great question and the answer is even better. Some do and some don't.

What you'll find is that most article directories will accept hyperlinks within the Authors Bio, that's to say that, they will accept them but the final published article may not show any hyperlinks at all. This is because during the re-viewing stage, many editors will not put up with long URLs, especially those that contain long strings of affiliate links. Most free article directories will, for what ever reason, not allow an article to be a blatant obvious advertisement disguised as some type of interesting critique that only warrants link back value. So, no hyperlinks will be shown.

Here's the difference you can make to get your hyperlinks active and seen.

In the Authors Bio section, NOT the article content body, place your name and other details about how you've been writing for 100 years and so on and then close to the bottom or end of the bio, place your name again, this time, hyperlinked to whatever the site is that you want active.

How do I do this?
Good question I thought up in my own mind that you might ask. In the Authors Bio write you bio and close to the end of the text place a hyperlink with something like, "Authors Name" can be found at this online location www.whateveritis.com

The "whateveritis.com" link should look like this
HTML Hyperlink Code

This is html code which is usually accepted and will be accepted if you maintain the link will open in a new tab or window, once clicked. This will ensure that if clicked the website that is displaying your article will not loose the visitor to your site, but will instead be directed to a new site in a new window or tab.

The search engines will pick your link up, eventually, and credit it to your website, eventually, whereby giving you the desired link back you required in the first place. The idea is to not spam the article directory resource so that they do not allow your articles to be published. By spamming I mean hitting the article directory with 5-60 articles per day, all different subjects and article content but with the same Author Bio text.

Remember, spammers get caught and then placed on a black list that doesn't expire, ever. So if your a keen writer with aspirations of being published all over the internet, then I suggest you write and submit your articles one at a time, over a few days, every week and generally build your audience steadily, rather than infuriating editors with junk articles looking for a quick back link fix.

Article Submission - 5 Things To Do For Successful Article Submissions

Article submission is growing in leaps and bounds. Nearly all savvy net users have caught onto submitting articles as a necessary Google PR enhancer or just to let people know your website exists. Of course there's always plenty of tips and tricks floating around forums and the like about how to sneak in a few extra links here and there that will build your sites link back.

Well, there are some things to be aware of if your think this is the way to go, looking for those tricks and applying them into your sites marketing strategy. Firstly, jamming heaps of your site URLs into your article is going to make the Article Submission Site your submitting to flag your efforts as possible spam which you do not want at all. There are plenty more issues you should consider when submitting articles, and we'll discuss 10 of them here.

1: Make Your Article Content Real
Too many times I have deleted many an article submitted to our site because of the inflammatory misuse of convoluted words, meanings and basic grammar problems. When writing an article, make sure you know what you are writing about.

People aren't stupid, dumb or unintelligent. In fact most people are quite onto what you are trying to do when stuffing your website URL into an article as a basis of subject content. Just write like you know it and you'll do better than most other writers seeking back links.

2: Forget About The Buzz Title
Lately I've noticed an ever increasing wam bam title added to a non wam bam article. Like T.W. (Tom Waite's) stated once "The Big Print Giveth, The Small Print Taketh Away".

How true this is. If you have a big blah title about something then surely you are trying to write for an advertisement letter or worse, a news press release. Most people don't give a hoot about advertising and are very used to identifying an ad title so they won't actually read your article.

In fact, they will more than likely turn off your article and remember you as the person who wrote it. So the next time you submit an article, no matter how important or real it is, people will just see that it's you who wrote it and leave, no questions or second chance given. I mean, would you give a second chance to any obvious spammer? I think not.

3: Make It At Least 450 Words Long
All too many articles we receive are way too short on word count to be of any significance or relevance to the subject of the article. Look at a press release, these are usually 150-300 words in length and are designed to "sell, sell, sell".

Now think about your article, do you want to just sell to the reader or are you trying to stimulate your readers. The latter is the focus that should be targeted for. People want interesting things to read from people who know what they are writing about, so having an article that basically is an extended press release is not only boring but, insulting at the same time.

You'd do well to keep away from this type of bad press.

4: Always Make Yourself Contactable
This is a big yes. Your article and it's content will be viewed by hundreds if not thousands of people all over the www. Having a real email address and name goes a long way into your credibility and realism.

We've seen so many writers disguise their names, email address and in some cases, websites so they don't have to be contacted and what for I ask you. The only tangible reason someone would want to contact about your article is to express their thoughts or experiences in relation to your article. If they want to contact you for some other reason like advertising products or services and so on, then junk mail tag them, easy, problem solved.

If there's other reasons that are most serious than advertising then there's plenty of web sites that you can submit to that will "black ban" these types of marketing vultures. Being available makes people feel as tho they are dealing with real people. Which is what you are, right?

5: Don't Copy
Now this is an easy one. Remember at school, the kid next to you seems to have the right answers or is doing the test with ease and you want a little "help". You think you'll ask if you can copy some of their answers, that should help you, right? Wrong! When you copy some article content that's been round for a while and you think no-one will notice, think about this.

All the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN do in fact identify duplicated content based on a points scoring system. In other words, even if you replace a few words or even sentence or two to cover your tracks, the majority of the content is left basically the same. This is the area that the major search engines focus on.

Their robots devour the content and then score your page, article, content or what ever and if your score is a high one, they will, without any notice, place a "watch this guy" flag onto your content and rate your content as irrelevant or the same as someone else's. This type of press you don't need. In fact this type of press would most definitely get your site listed low in search results for any keyword or phrase your trying to gain on.

One last thing to remember. Always check your submissions. Always keep an eye on where your words are. Always make sure you date your article, this is the insurance tag for when someone copies your work and tries to pass if off as their own.
