Article Submission - How To Hyperlink Your Article

You've written your article, checked the title, placed the keywords and phrases into the text strategically and now’s the time to submit it. But wait, what about the hyperlinks? Oh yeah, article directories don't take hyperlinks, or do they?

Well that's a great question and the answer is even better. Some do and some don't.

What you'll find is that most article directories will accept hyperlinks within the Authors Bio, that's to say that, they will accept them but the final published article may not show any hyperlinks at all. This is because during the re-viewing stage, many editors will not put up with long URLs, especially those that contain long strings of affiliate links. Most free article directories will, for what ever reason, not allow an article to be a blatant obvious advertisement disguised as some type of interesting critique that only warrants link back value. So, no hyperlinks will be shown.

Here's the difference you can make to get your hyperlinks active and seen.

In the Authors Bio section, NOT the article content body, place your name and other details about how you've been writing for 100 years and so on and then close to the bottom or end of the bio, place your name again, this time, hyperlinked to whatever the site is that you want active.

How do I do this?
Good question I thought up in my own mind that you might ask. In the Authors Bio write you bio and close to the end of the text place a hyperlink with something like, "Authors Name" can be found at this online location www.whateveritis.com

The "whateveritis.com" link should look like this
HTML Hyperlink Code

This is html code which is usually accepted and will be accepted if you maintain the link will open in a new tab or window, once clicked. This will ensure that if clicked the website that is displaying your article will not loose the visitor to your site, but will instead be directed to a new site in a new window or tab.

The search engines will pick your link up, eventually, and credit it to your website, eventually, whereby giving you the desired link back you required in the first place. The idea is to not spam the article directory resource so that they do not allow your articles to be published. By spamming I mean hitting the article directory with 5-60 articles per day, all different subjects and article content but with the same Author Bio text.

Remember, spammers get caught and then placed on a black list that doesn't expire, ever. So if your a keen writer with aspirations of being published all over the internet, then I suggest you write and submit your articles one at a time, over a few days, every week and generally build your audience steadily, rather than infuriating editors with junk articles looking for a quick back link fix.

Distributing Reprint Articles for the Best Results

By Bill Platt.

There are many writers who are utilizing article distribution services to get articles published in ezines and newsletters and on websites. These articles always have a link back to the website of the writer in the articles Resource Box --- the About the Author information which typically follows an article. This has always been one of the best methods a webmaster could use to generate web traffic to his or her site.

THE ECONOMIC VALUE OF DISTRIBUTING ARTICLES

When comparing the cost of preparing an article and distributing it to publishers and webmasters, your overall articles costs are still really small... Especially when you compare that cost against the cost of buying advertising in the same ezines, newsletters and websites that will publish your article. On top of that, when a website publishes an article that you wrote, the article will usually remain on the website for years to come. But, when you buy an ad for your business at a website, you need to pay that advertising rate every single month for as long as your want your ad to remain on that website.

When you want to measure the effectiveness of an article, you should measure the cost of advertising in the ezines and newsletters where you were published, plus the cost of advertising on the websites where your article was reprinted.

If you invest the time and effort to calculate the value of the advertising earned from a reprint article versus the cost of creating and distributing that article, you will quickly realize why so many people recommend this promotional technique.

TRAFFIC IS A TWO-SIDED COIN WITH REPRINT ARTICLES

When we first got into writing articles for promotional purposes, we were entirely focused on getting our articles published in ezines and newsletters. The all-important link back to your site can reach thousands of publishers, and through the publishers, you can quite possibly reach millions of readers. And these are not just ordinary readers either; they are members of YOUR target audience.

The ezines and newsletters that will publish your articles have already told their readers that they will be providing information on the topics that you have written about. And, the readers have all taken a pro-active step to add their email address to the mailing list of the ezine that is publishing your work.

While most ezines have a subscriber base in the range of ten to twenty thousand, there are still some really large ezines with subscribers in the hundreds of thousands out there that will be happy to share your materials with their readers.
